Nobel Sport /GT & B&P/Z2M Wads

to 37-38gram loads, I often see recipes with these wads, what makes them so popular? they are often out of stock (GT18 / 15 Z2M18) GT seems to be more rigid in their construction, it will affect the speed or pressure?
